Oh...and Merriam Webster aka ledidoptery, I am aware repurpose means " to convert, or use in another format". I say re-do or refurbish. Although I have taken scarfs and made them into pillows so that would technically qualify as 'repurpose'. ha
BadJane- yep, it's perfectly fine to karate chop your pillows but it's not very appealing to be sarcastic. I didn't mean, don't match your nightstands. I mean don't go to Pottery Barn and buy a whole matching set: bed, dresser, nightstands like most people's grandparents did. Jeez.

Hi everyone! It's Jennifer. Thanks for the wonderful comments and those of you who don' like it...well, you can't please everyone. I will try to answer all your questions:

1. The striped wall is fabric that I had backed and used at wallpaper. It's gray with a thin blue stripe on the edge of the gray stripe. It is Barbara Barry from Kravet. I do not have the actual name in front of me but email me thru my website if you want it. I will find it for you.

2. Sdt43 asked for the name of the artist that painted the "children". I think you are referrng to the monks?? If so, I am so sorry. I don't have his name. I literally was at the weekend market in Bangkok and found this piece. The artist could not speak English and I had to find someone in the market that did to negotiate the sale. They took it off the strechers and I rolled it up and checked it as oversized luggage to get it home. It was only $700. In LA, that would have been $7000.

3. Paint is all Benjamin Moore.
Dining is-Smokestack Gray #2131-40
Living is-Seattle Gray #2130-70
Media (blue room) is-White Sand #OC-10

Now to address some of the funny comments. No, Marc my shoes and bags weren't just sitting out like that in my closet. They set it up like that. I wasn't even in my closet when they shot it so thanks for at least noting that it was "posed"...because it was. And yes, I have too many shoes.
Some people commented that this must have been a fortune- although the house itself was expensive, the interior was a mix of pieces. Some cheap and some expensive so for the size of the house, it wasn't that bad.
That telescope comment made me laugh and I swear it's turned the right way. When you look in the eyepiece there is a reflective mirror in the back so the actual opening is pointing out the window. However, I am not that great at using it!
Hope that helps.
