I still love stainless steel and it's been around a while now. I am moving into my new condo next week and I did birch and stainless. I'm not sure I like my tile choice so that may go.

I'm moving in 16 days and I'm 95% packed. I'd rather pack myself so I can put things together. I know where everything is and pretty much what box.

I just put up shelves I've had laying about for 14 months. I am on a lease, signed up another year in March. I will be going month to month in 2010 as my condo should be ready in June (let's hope). I put up the shelves this weekend because I needed a change :)

I haven't painted since I have to put it back to white when I leave, so I find other ways to add colours.

Also since it isn't mine, I really haven't spent any money...saving that for "mine".

Lose the geese...they are mean little buggers! (attacked 3 times last year in my work parking lot, lol).

Being Cdn...I don't think I'd have most of that in my home. I think US and Cdn home decor is the same generally except we like to take our shoes off in the home :)

I live about 20min outside of Toronto in a city called Mississauga. I am currently renting a 650sqft 1 bedroom apartment for $1,235 (inclusive) including underground parking.

I have bought a 1 den penthouse condo (1.5 baths) for $272K for 648sqft plus $7K of upgrades which I am currently paying off. It should be ready June 2010.

I pay a premium to be downtown in my city. I can walk to work in 10min.

About 35min the other way, is another city I lived in up until end of 2007. I owned a 600sqft 1bdrm condo (apartment conversion). I bought for $74K sold for $92K. But the 2 hours spent in the car commuting to and from work was worth the premium to live closer to my job.
