why are people who are reading a blog about technology so pissed about smartphone apps? if you don't like smartphones or technology why are you reading this blog? not just reading but posting comments as well? i think the walk and text app is creative--does it make a huge advancement of the human race? no but that's not its intention either. Looks great!! Love that the ads have all been pushed to the side! They were taking over the main page before and now it looks clean and organized. As a site blogging about design aesthetics I think the change is a step up! Welcome to Apartment Therapy 3.0! |

Love the pallet bed! Such a good solution for shoe storage and reusing materials instead of buying an unsustainable headboard. Noa's "Navajo" Room |

I second xhtmlgirl, Peapod is amazing! If a grocery store near you has delivery do it! For one it has helped me spend less because I don't have products strategically setup up to lure me into impulse purchases. I buy only what's on my list. The delivery fees are very reasonable, it was only $7 for me the first time and then a free 60 days after that. I think the produce is better from the delivery than in the store (I would imagine it goes from the truck to your order without ever entering the store). The only downside is all those plastic bags since you can't use your own reusable ones. It has helped me keep my kitchen stocked and I'm surprised after trying it, that people still continue to go to the store at all! Excuses, Excuses: Americans' Top Reasons for Not Cooking |

I did this with a small 25" TV in my bedroom. I used a french cleat that I found in the picture hanging aisle of target. Used a piece of angled blocking behind it to solve the angle issue. It cost a whopping $7 for the cleat and a few additional bucks for home depot to cut the scrap wood. Works perfectly especially for such a small, and light flat screen. My mother used to keep all my art projects from school and at the end of each year she would set them all up in display on the kitchen table, couch, or backyard, etc. I would sit down in the center of them all and she would take my photo. This allowed her to get rid of what she wished without guilt, and only keep a small 4X6 photo of all the work. Not only did it capture the art work but it captured me at the age when I completed these "masterpieces". Looking back now I am happy to see myself as well as the art work. The younger version of me is very proud of the work in all the photos. All the photos could easily be stored in a photo album that is much more compact than all the various sized construction paper.
