we're kicking it old school: burgers and dogs, veggie and not. i went overboard on the desserts, though: brownie fudge sundaes from david lebovitz' book and blueberry free-form pies. grilled zucchini, boiled corn, tons of beer. no fireworks because of the fires though. we live up in the santa cruz mountains.
