To me, city life is more about convenience. Sure, it's great to have more options in terms of restaurants and activities, but I live in the city because it's easier to get places, I can walk to work, it's easier to meet up with people, etc. It's less about options and more about access... I have the same issue with my cast-iron pan. I heard so many good things about them before getting one, but it's been pretty frustrating to use. And frankly, it just doesn't feel sanitary to not use soap to clean it (although I don't). What am I doing wrong??? How Do I Keep My Cast Iron Skillet Seasoned? And congratulations to the other entrants! @sharonao21 and @kate2002: The coffee table is from eBay, and unfortunately, there are no identifiers on it. It was listed as possibly Heywood Wakefield, but I doubt it is. The sofa is from Crate & Barrel. @mmilham, @vintage birthday and @sherry binh: It actually IS a security mirror. I wasn't able to find a regular mirror in my price range, so I bought a security mirror and glued a hook on the back. I keep waiting for it to fall off and smash on the floor... @sunday morning, @andrea_xtina and @anne pck: Ha! I am huge magnet fan and buy one whenever I travel. Friends buy them for me as well. Growing up, we always had stuff on our fridge, so it's something that reminds me of home... @rvajay: Yes and no :-) @otilly: I'm really lucky to have the kitchen space, including the bar area which acts as a table. Thanks! @particleman: Thank you very much. I've found some stuff at Crate & Barrel and IKEA, but I'm lucky that I was able to get some pieces from my parents (and I've got dibs on some more stuff at their house). I'm also fortunate to have some creative friends - the George Nelson-like clock was a homemade gift (made for $20), as was the print in my bedroom.
