This looks and sounds like the rice cakes I get at my local Hmart Korean Market. They have a similar-sounding machine, and when I saw and heard it I knew it was what my parents described to me from their childhood in Korea. We have a Robern M Series in our bathroom...it's funny that you mention these, as I was thinking about it last night. Ours is the kind that sticks out from the wall, and I appreciate that the sides are nicely mirrored, even if I never look in them. Also, it's nice to have both the inside of the door and the inside of the cabinet mirrored because we can both get ready at the same time on busy mornings! We used Aura in our home and love the quality. But I do have a complaint about their white, Frostine--when you look at their samples, it looks like a pure white. We tried painting swatches and saw nothing wrong with it. Then we painted two coats (along with a primer) and realized that in a certain light it has a green tinge to it, just like a glacier! I've used one at a rest area on I-95 before. My husband was SO excited to see one--it may have been the highlight of our trip for him!
