By and large most Indians don't use raisins and cashews in the mint/coriander chutney. Depending upon the seasons it's either green mango, or tamarind, and sometimes garlic or even a small red onion. I like to put in about a teaspoon of cumin seeds, a little grated coconut and a wee bit of sugar or gur/jaggery. If i'm making a south Indian meal I replace the mint/coriander with fresh curry leaves.
