I've never purchased organic; I'm a vegetarian and I try to be as earth friendly as possible but I just know nothing about the actual impact on the earth and my budget is tight. We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables but I need to research more about what it actually means for me to ingest these chemicals and their enviro impact.

I would love to buy some protein couches to replace our IKEA sofas from 2008, but that's just not in the cards right now.

Wow. I'm apparently one of those people that needs professional help and didn't even know it. We have a chandelier above our dining room table and other overhead lights, and I have a pet cat who uses a litter box. I'm sure there are other things significantly wrong with my house, too.

I don't understand how anyone gets any sleep in these arrangements. We've never invited our toddler into our bed and I never could -- he's so squirmy and it would drive me nuts within seconds. I much prefer him sleeping soundly in his own crib.

Neomott -- I fully support a small family affair for this milestone, but did you see the spread for the party in the post!?! My wedding had less involved decor! I was just really surprised to see it. Sure, it was beautiful, clever, and incredibly well-executed, but to me that begged my initial question.

I didn't use anything in particular. I did have 2 breastfeeding pillows: (1) the boppy (an okay pillow); and (2) the balboa nursing pillow (a FABULOUS pillow) that I would use and I set up my lap top on a coffee table right next to me. I could type one-handed and use my computer a little. I was completely unplugged during my maternity leave, though, so the only thing I was really doing was reading blogs and checking Facebook. Not sure what to recommend if you have serious work that needs to be done.
