I'm going to guess they stuck little sticky magnets to the bottom to make them stick.

This seems like your landlord's problem if you ask me! Perhaps an oversight on their part.

Usually I hate it when people paint wood and tend to be the @akay of the bunch... but is that "before" even wood? It looks like MDF or veneer (unstainable). And even if it's real wood, the lines of that dresser aren't appealing in wood color. Anything would've been an improvement on this clunker (not to take away from your lovely re-do, Nicole).

Thanks for commenting, Gail. I like your bench. Did you reinforce the back, or was it already sturdy enough to lean back on? That's the only thing that would keep me from copying your awesome bench!

Lol @littlemisssunshine. I don't get the confusion either.

This is so not for me. Airplane aisle lighting for the home. BUT, for those asking "why?" try reading the post before you comment next time. I think you'll find the answer to your question.

Hhhhmmm. I hate being the "I like the before better" person!

But. Before: unique, different and cool. After: rental kitchen.

And I actually LIKE the painting cabinets white trend. This just looks...... cheap? Sorry.

@Jess13, check out Dollar Store Crafts, I think that blog is just what you're looking for.

Pool noodles are so beyond out of season at my NorCal dollar store. BUT, as someone else pointed out, I can just buy the actual wreath forms they sell. I wavered between one of their wreath forms and their floral wire for my ornament wreath; settled on 6ft of hot pink floral wire for a buck!

Yeaaaaahhh. I LOVE chocolate milk. It may be "sweeter than soda", but it also has vitamins that soda doesn't, proteins that soda doesn't, and lacks the bone-density-destroying and esophageal-cancer causing carbonation of soda. Plus, it seems like every other day there's a new study about how dark chocolate (what I make hot cocoa with) in moderation is good for you. Seriously, people.

Oohhhh my gosh, I didn't know they were such a big deal! My reporter co-worker did her Thanksgiving standups at Willie Bird's all the time. There's even a restaurant, I never ate there though.

Just to play devil's advocate... you can get a decent sewing machine for as little as $89 and it's totally easy to sew curtains. They'll hold up better and last longer. But that's only worth it if you plan on doing lots of these projects.

If these are the only no-sew curtains you plan to do, then yeah, sewing machine totes not worth it.

I really like the LOOK... but echo everyone else on the food safety. No way am I going to put spray paint anywhere near anything my husband and baby will be eating from.

I researched the heck out of looking for spray paint on the OUTSIDE of a metal breadbox and wasn't even willing to do that, so no way Jose on the silverware.

Me five. :( I saw a commercial to get a free issue, so I logged on to get said free issue and was sent a bill before the free issue. Got the free issue way after it hit the stands and it's worth what I paid for it.

"In Style Magazine: Home Edition" is more like it. Liked Sarah Richardson's house though.

And PS, how many "Don't like your couch?!? Change out the throw pillows! You can do them in different colors!" articles does one magazine need?
