AT i realize that this is your party and we are only the guests here.
but there are so many more appropriate and valid issues that AT can address if you do insist on doing a column on "home relationships"-
bonding and family dinners
sharing chores within working families
personal space within the home
well-you get the idea.i don't see myself as so brilliant that you too could not consider these more appropriate and relevant topics.

yes, i did notice that many of the AT rooms for kids don't seem to be realistic. reminds me of the laura ashley clothing that kids wore, but could never play in.

like the ladder myself. reminds me of first apt. living, which i had enjoyed. creative, but functional.

love this place-especially the bedroom.
what's really impressive tho, is leaving out shoes with a puppy!

reminds me of "rear window".

if you read the article stated you would see that before this apt. had been painted all white it had shades of black and grey with wood floors and was still minimalist.
that being said, minimalism=white is a very sad perspective of this concept.some traditional japanese rooms are are masterpieces of minimalism, clean, airy, and calming with touches of nature.

i wish i had known the roof leaked when i lived on the top floor of one place. i ran out of pots and pans.
i roach bomb any new apt. but one place was beyond that.
noisy neighbors are a crap shoot, but i've left apts.. because of them.
within a block laundry, post office, bank drug store and supermarket and green grocer.

kinda scarey.
