Definitely something to pick up at a restaurant supply store. My gf got the super-expensive non-stick ones from Williams-Sonoma but I never use them for fear of marring the priceless coating. With my cheap RS pans, I can toss them around, use metal spatulas, scrub with steel wool and even hit them with easy-off if they get too greasy. If I need non-stick I just use the silpats (also from RS store). My Essential Baking Tool: Half Sheet Pans Essential Kitchen Tools |

If you are in a large building and don't have a freecycle area, talk to the super or landlord about designating a place where stuff can hang around for a day or two before going in the garbage. I've found it's too much of a pain to drag stuff to goodwill but luckily our building has a freecycle area in the lobby where people leave gently worn articles of clothing, dishes, smaller household items, books, etc. I have seen a few of the items I've left get used for a year or two and then reappear for someone else later! I used to be unable to sleep anywhere but under the covers in the dark, but since moving to NYC I have become adept at the subway nap. I cross my leg over the strap of my bag, pull a hat over my eyes and I am out in about 90 seconds. It helps to live in Washington Heights which means a 20-25 minute ride from midtown with few stops. I think that it gets easier when you are in the habit, your body just expects the nap. Even on days when I've gotten a good night's sleep, I will still conk right out on the subway. Wow, $85 and only 10 hrs of work, why wouldn't YOU do something like this? *Scrolls down and sees humble DIYer with professional air-powered nail gun*. Hmm, doesn't everyone have one of those? I think the cost of the tools needs to be figured in here somehow in the context of an apartment therapy post. Plain to Paneled: $85 Entryway Revamp From the Natos |

I have to agree with the general consensus to build radiator covers. I'm kind of confused though as to why you would need two radiators right next to each other. I would find out if both of them are actually working and if (as I suspect) one of them is retired, see if you can have it removed. It shouldn't be expensive to have the old radiator taken out and have the pipe capped off. Help Arranging Living and Dining in This Room? Good Questions |

I love that dresser! Can anyone tell me what style that is? I know it is at least asian-influenced but that has not helped me find one. Even just the hardware would be great so I could upgrade my ikea dresser. Color Spotlight: Kelly Green |
