I tried this last year and was disappointed with the result. I bought the same sized legs and did the process the same way, but the end result was far from sturdy. The legs wobbled when someone got on and off the bed. After laying on it for just a few hours, My husband and I got up and took the legs off so we didn't have to worry about crashing to the floor in the middle of the night.

The main problem is that the box spring is made of cheap and soft wood that didn't hold the screws.

Unless you have a box spring made of a quality hardwood, I wouldn't recommend spending your time or money in this way.

"Hippie Christmas" is a much anticipated event in Maidson, Wisconsin. I've found several items including a vinyl chair from the 50's, crates, and end tables. The worst find, and where I definitely draw the line, was a frozen whole chicken. It was melting all over a fantastic dresser, but the thought of chicken juice and bacteria was too much to handle. I just had to say no.
