I have seen many house tours that ask for a portrait...because the readers want to know what the home owners look like. Then when there is a photo of of the homeowner, and he happens to be attractive... you find a problem with that. Or that the readers draw attention to said homeowners good looks. I find this a petty argument. Chad's Guest House & Reinvented Garage House Tour |

PS I think Wendy and Gavin have done an incredible job. The room looks delightful, happy, healthy and full of love and originality to boot. (no pun intended.) Oscar & Boots' 150 Square Foot Bedroom Kids Tour |

Some of you really need to step back and get some perspective. Don't be haters because you grew up in a bedroom with Barney and Hannah Montana posters or whatever other generic child art...and especially do not attack a mother and father (who you don't even know) for their choice in children's names. It's not their fault that your parents weren't more creative. Oscar & Boots' 150 Square Foot Bedroom Kids Tour |

Lindley, I agree. While this idea may not represent everyone's style... it's a great idea. You people take yourselves way too seriously. It' is the words + ideas that are immortalized- NOT THE PAGES THEY ARE PRINTED ON. plus if you want to wax philosophical, at least this way the book gets put to good repurposing in harmony with something from nature... versus being ripped and grinded to shreds to be recycled into paper bags for which take your trash out it in. While I understand this is a larger scale home that belongs to someone with a higher budget than the general demographic of readers on this site... the fact that people are blatently blasting the homeowner for sharing her personal space and style and her income is really unnecessary. And just rude. She is a successful, happy and well admired decorator and designer. I'm sure when her home showed up in Lonny a couple months ago no on had a problem. Regardless of the scale of a home, I believe we can all learn from eachother. Jennifer's High/Low Home in the Hills House Tour |
