this is such a great idea. despite always holding on to my apple packaging for resale, this totally makes me look at other packaging in a new light!

i'd known about properly reflecting light for some years now, but not the use of black to create more shadows and depth - thanks for the tip!

i've been using the same method since i was 12! i tear out the pages i like and put them in clear plastic sheets in 3-ring binders. over the years i've developed themed binders - recipes, interior design, crafts, etc. it cuts back on how much i keep around the house, but keeps me from ever missing *that* great piece a flipped through all those years ago. and amazingly, i actually do go back and reference stuff from that long ago!

You would think I spend every minute of my day working on an art or craft project with how many materials I have! On the plus side, I like organizing, so it's all neatly displayed so I don't look like an out-of-control hoarder!

i love the idea of helping the plight of honeybees. for those who are wary of raising them, there is always the option to use your balcony or garden as a safe haven for bees to find food. there are lists all over the web of what plants bees like most.

interesting idea, but wouldn't your dogs be cold if their bed is being used to block/absorb any cold air that's coming in?

a plant swap - what a great idea! i love how easily succulents propagate - they're so sturdy, even for people who don't have much of a green thumb like myself...

tassenkast is so lovely. what a cute way to sort items in the entry way of a home or apartment with a lot of people living in it.

such a good idea if you don't mind looking out of bubble wrap. probably a fun effect when holiday lights are up and reflecting through all the bubbles...

that is a seriously gorgeous cover and probably fairly easy to recreate given it's made out of veneer.

i love clustered chandeliers. mamacita restaurant here in s.f. has clustered chandeliers with large rusted metal lights - can make a great effect when the right materials are used in a space.

vintage pant hangers work great for this as well - etsy and ebay generally have a bunch for about a dollar a piece. one caveat though - sometimes the felt is missing and needs to be replaced in order to actually hold the print.

i like to string twine across a section of wall and hang the cards with clothes pins. pretty simple and nothing large to store away after the holiday season.
