Also-yes it is a Kenmore Elite Dishwasher and we absolutely love it. It is so quite you only hear the water draining.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Here are some answers to questions;
-The laundry room poster was vintage from Etsy so I'm not sure there are any more but the seller was AccessoryAddiction
-The buildings here have to have pilings drilled into the permafrost so that's why they are on 'stilts'.
-It is desolate here but that is part of the beauty. We both originally came here for work but have stayed because of the great community and friends we have made.
-The wallhanging was purchased on a trip to Mexico. I've seen them online but they've been almost three times the price.
-We bought the Fritz Kahn poster in Berlin, so I'm not sure where else it can be found.
-Yes, the huge TV was a compromise. One of us would prefer not to have it but both of us love watching movies on it.
-The flokati rug is hard to keep clean but it's so soft. We don't wear shoes in the house- although in the winter you could since the snow never melts so there is no slush or mud.
-We didn't pick any colours with light conditions in mind- they were just ones that we liked. It helps to have a variety of light sources all on dimmers which makes it cosy in the winter.

Thanks again all. The paint is Pitsburgh Manor Hall in Hearty Hosta. Sadly we have no heated garage- just have to warm up the car for while in -50. Maynelander-of course Arctic Ventures is still here and still selling the strangest stuff. Road to Nowhere is actually where we live. There are several new developments now- I'm sure you'd be surprised. The globe is from ebay. We also have a small movie theatre here that shows new releases-The Astro-run by the cities first mayor. I work for the film development agency/film commission.

The two MAIN stores are general stores that sell a bit of everything from milk to furniture. There are other smaller stores-gas stations, gift shops, hardware stores etc. There are a surprising amount to places that ship here-the cheapest shipping is from outside Canada. Crate & Barrel, CB2, Pottery Barn and Overstock all have reasonable prices for small to medium items. For large stuff it's better to wait to ship it on the yearly sealift.

Thanks everyone. The mail is my lifeline here-it takes a little bit longer than the rest of Canada but shipping from the United States and Europe can get here in as little as 2 weeks and can be reasonable. The yellow bar cart I got from an etsy seller only cost $25 in USPS shipping. We really do exploit the cheap shipping. The couches are ikea, the covers are bemz and the wallpaper is from Walmart.
