Give it a good once over to make sure the foam is still in new condition and all the buckles still hold to pulling. I would also recommend checking to make sure there are no recalls out for it. If not, you should be good to go. We used a car seat that my inlaws used for my nephew. It worked great for us.

I have a couch in the nursery and then a glider in my room. The glider lets us rock her to sleep (LO is only 2 months old and still sleeping in our room) when necessary. The couch in the nursery makes it a comfortable space for my husband and I to send time with our little one. Plus, its great for napping when she's napping in her crib!
