Is this the former pro snowboarder, Dave Seoane? Can't be that common a name.

Sherwin Williams Repose grey..
I was looking for a grey that didn't read too blue or purple.
Very happy with it.

Where else could you choose from over 200 flavours at any given time? Nice outdoor courtyard to sit, super busy in the evenings.

Gahh... Get that thing out of the way so I can enjoy the gorgeous rail. ;)

On most balconies though, you wouldn't miss seeing the concrete/stock metal rail, so this is great.

A tip! If you're painting room walls, paint the trim first. Then you don't have to be neat, and you'll cover any overlap with wall colour. (WAY faster, and far less tedious!)

I think you can paint crown, baseboard and chair rail without getting into stairs (which will look great when they stand out, instead of being one of a billion oak things), hutch or kitchen... you can make a distinction between more architectural items and trim.

Congrats and enjoy your new home!

That is a pretty cool idea.
Keeps the bunnies out of the greens too.

Interesting building. Do they pack it up to the next race after this one?

I was, however, surprised at the ugliness of the actual retail operation.. expected something a little more concept store.

Six comments, 4 criticisms? Scares you!? x2!? The old brass light fixture and floral wall paper is BETTER?
Jokes, right?

This is a huge, bold, and beautiful change. Wonderful.

After losing a dozen tulip bulbs to squirrels, I covered the bed with burlap and covered that with a half inch of soil.

The squirrels stopped digging, and I feel better about that than using pepper, which has the intent of burning their eyes and other sensitive tissues.

I started basil, parsley and some shasta daisies with my son yesterday. Today it is snowing, so some hope for spring is very exciting!

Palmetto, you may live in SoCal, but not all of 'we' do. AT often has Canadian content, and even Canadian Cure groups this spring, so why not post a Canadian blog?

Thanks for sharing your local link too... more info for people interested in growing their own food is always a good thing. ;)

Just want to share my fave garden blog...
The writer is an urban gardener.. rooftops, community gardens, and tiny sidewalk-side strips... Definitely a must read for anyone lusting for green but short on space.

Maybe I'm not reading this right, but it is the potential roomie that is being evicted, not the actual on-the-lease tenant.

If she's not allowed to be there based on your lease, then of course they can ask her to leave!

Good luck with your home! Keep in mind these things take time, money and energy, so keep a list of manageable sized tasks to take on one at a time to save you from that sinking feeling.

As for the ceiling, call a contractor, preferably 4, and ask for an on-site evaluation and a price quote. It won't cost you anything, and you'll get a better idea of how it would happen. This is how these guys sell their services, so don't feel like you're wasting their time.

Please, please send in after pictures... sounds like you have a diamond in the rough.
