I hate all hot breakfast cereals. That said, I pour boiling water on my shredded wheat, immediately drain it away and pour on cold skim. With a little sweetener, I'm 7 years old sitting at Grandma's table.

I have used the same Tupperware butter dish for 37 years and it is still good as new.

It has a lid. Lid has a function. Close it. Additionally, there are safety considerations for small children and pets. Finally, we don't want the pets drinking from the toilet.

Every few weeks I clean with a stone cleaner that seals. Other than that they get a wipe like anything else would. No stains, no burns, no problems. Love the granite.

I have a necklace that I made 25 years ago. It is Indian corn kernels. I used red ones. I still love it.

Spray catnip spray on the scratching posts and he will use them. Place a scratching post at every location that the cat likes. Once he uses them you can gradually move them to more preferable location.

I put granite in my kitchen and bath when we remodeled. It was the best decision I made. They are beautiful, indestructible, easy to care for and timeless. Worth every penny.

I have never washed a chicken. Too yucky. Always remove the skin though.
