The box fan I was accustomed to made the room too cold and was kind of ugly, so I bought the noise machine. It took me about a week to get used to it, but now I love it! I use the "rain" setting because it's the closest to sounding like my fan.

I actually think the garage wall is pretty cool. I guess you could hang some kind of drapery up near the top to cover the windows though.

I don't see it as any different than when I repaint over my own canvases. And I've never found a large canvas that is cheaper than thrift store/yard sale art.

I just recently painted my bathroom linoleum floor, and it looks great. I deglossed it and sanded some spots that were particularly rough. Then I primed it and rolled 2 coats of porch/deck paint on it. Everyone who sees it compliments it; however, the floor attracts dirt. I am going to clean it really well and then put a coat or 2 of polyurethane over it. It was cheaper than replacing the floor and less effort than those annoying peel and stick tiles. It may not hold up well in the long run, but it looks great right now.
