I wish my bathroom looked like that, I have really sad "stone" tiles and serious grout issues. We live in the same neighborhood, though! I love seeing all the different apartments in my area.

I live here, in SF, and I live in a 1913 Edwardian apartment and I don't think I'd give up my 500 sq ft rent controlled apartment for a tiny box. We do have the usual plumbing problems, noise issues, and the occasional crazy person trying to break in the main door, but I love it here and it's exactly what I need. Because who would want to give up 8" molding and original hardwood floors? Not me. I might not live in the city forever, but I want to enjoy it while I can.

I have PANYL on my dumpster found Expedit door inserts. They made all the imperfections go away and gave my Expedit tv stand some more life. I want to get more, but those inserts are a pretty penny for Ikea. I'm hoping I'll find more thrown out on the street. :)

I have this problem. I'm on the bottom floor and the people above me are really loud. They play music, he sings, yells at his video games and they move around furniture. They've also had an industrial fan that made such a high pitch sound it was giving me migraines. I asked them to turn everything down, but I've just learned to deal with it (at least they stopped with the fan!). I think it comes with a 100 year old building. I can hear my neighbors to my right and left as well, so I guess I'm just as loud.

I put things away in the correct place, otherwise I get stressed out if I can't find something later. It probably takes just as long. I categorize my piles and then put them away.

I have 3 of these.. 1 for each of my dogs and one for my desk chair. I think they're adorable! I really want the cardboard cabin, but my dogs tend to think any paper product is a delicious treat.

I've definitely learned a few things in the last year.
1) don't rack up credit bills but use responsibly to build your credit- esp when you're young
2) you don't always have to listen to your parents- mine didn't want me to get a dog but I did and she's the best thing thats happened to me.
3) even if you think you want that super cute shirt, bag, and shoes- that will pay for the months bills.

Ikea and living in SF is always a difficult task. Do I rent a ZipCar or do I limit myself to just carry items for the bart? This past time I had a printed shopping list from the website with notes and post-its all over it. We rented the zip for 3 hours and were in and out of ikea in 45 mins and staying on budget. (surprisingly!) The drive and finding parking in Lower Nob took longer.

I love this formula! I always way over pack or under pack.

My friend almost got kicked out of the Duomo in Milan for wearing Leggings, a dress (turtleneck), and a cardigan.. because her dress was too short! Yet another girl we were with got let in wearing leggings as pants.
