We just finished our basement, but couldn't figure out a great solution for our stairs. They are really slippery as we ended up painting them. These would be great for us! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | LA Wednesday Giveaway: 04.30.08 |

I had my in-laws (mother, father, brother, and nephew) in town for 4 days/5 nights a week ago, and then this past Saturday we had 50 people over for a cocktail party. I'm a little worn out from all the entertaining, so I probably won't get around to posting pictures until this weekend. The party was pretty fun and less stressful than years past as far as getting ready thanks to what I've done so far for the Cure. It would have been nice to have had the kitchen completely cleaned beforehand. Oh well. Apartment Therapy Chicago | CHI Spring Cure: Week Four |

I feel like things are going pretty well, although I still need to post updated pictures. The kitchen is about halfway deep-cleaned, and I plan on making more progress on it this weekend. The landing strips are set up and if I have time later during the Cure I may paint part of it. Apartment Therapy Chicago | CHI Spring Cure: Week Three - Weekend |

My mom passed away nearly four years ago when I was 25. It took awhile for me to sort through all the inherited stuff. If you are able to take your time, then I think it is best to deal with the stuff as part of the grieving process (I've read/heard that the grieving process typically takes a year or two). When a loved one first passes away, it is hard to let anything go as you already have had to deal with letting go of them. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Inherited Clutter |

I agree that you should try to keep the originals. It makes me sad whenever I go to an old house and see renovations that destroy the character of the home. Maybe at the very least you could save the tiles you rip out so someone else or future homeowners could use them? Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: Tiles for Our Bathroom? |

I thought I signed up for the Chicago Spring Cure. I think I did it on the New York post, but it had a list for which city or at least I thought it did. I'm in, and I live in Minnesota. Apartment Therapy Chicago | CHI Spring Cure: Week One |

I'm in! I'm completely addicted to the site, but I've never done an official Cure before. I've been working on decluttering for awhile as part of the process of remodeling our basement. My goals this Cure are to work on improving our landing strip, rearranging our living room furniture, setting up our office to be able to work from home, and organizing our basement.
