Just did this at Thanksgiving. Fully frozen bird, 13 hour drive. I got one of those soft sided freezer bags (usually available at any grocery store for about 3 bucks) and lined it with a trash bag, added ice, turkey, more ice, and then zipped it up. I wax my shower with turtle wax (the green liquid kind) about every six months or so - it takes care of the soap scum problem, and you really only have to do a deep clean before you wax again. I don't really have a mold/mildew problem, so I'm not sure if you should use this method if you don't have good ventilation, but it works in my current place!
