strider/balance bikes are the way to go for 3yr olds. If you start looking now you might be able to find 3 on craigslist or ebay by Christmas. Affordable, Similar Bikes for Triplets Good Questions |

The new kitchen is much nicer but it's a big pet peeve of mine when people do this with recessed boxes versus just removing the entire drop down ceiling. A great way to learn a lot is to volunteer regularly with Habitat for Humanity. Our local HFH will post what they are working on each workday so you can pick the ones that interest you. I learned how to install a bathroom fan there. Where Do You Get Your DIY Know-How? Good Questions |

JCPenney Home Expressions bedspread is a good option. In the picture they show it coming to the floor but in reality my king only goes to the bottom of the boxspring which works with our bedframe (our mattress is 8"thick or so). LL Bean also offers a bedspread that I really like but haven't bought yet, http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/47440?feat=131-GN1, I like that it's not frilly or flowery but does have subtle square pattern.
