It's much, much easier to do with two people! Just do the same thing Martha does with the corners, but with each of you holding on to one end. (A finger in each of the corners, then flip one onto the other and smooth it out.)

My sister and I were expected to do chores as kids (late 80s, so moms really did still teach it!) and we got pretty adept at folding an entire load in just a few minutes while watching cartoons on Saturday morning.
