The same way you'd hang anything you need to stay. Find a stud and hang. Also, be sure frame/glass is properly assembled. There's no magic here...if hung properly (and out of reach of course) you will literally need an act of god for it to fall...if that happens...well...he's got a plan right? @katieliz...yes it's our take on a dutch door. We have a 80lb bull dog, so we wanted to be able to close the door...but we also wanted to be able to hear the baby. So...we cut our door in half :) It's actually been great for the dog. He's been able to hear and get used to the sounds of the baby...without being in the room (he initially went a little nutso with the crying). It was also helpful in that we could stand at the door with the bottom closed with the baby...and pet the dog...which was a nice safe way of exposing the dog to the baby....For large untested pups...I totally recommend the dutch door. This is awesome...but these are bone breakable heights and materials...makes me nervous. They should use a couple of the mats folks use when they are rock climbing for the floor. Could even cover then in fabric matching the color scheme. A Rad Red Climbing Bedroom Kidtropolis |

+1 on the sanding and painting. You'll have to sand it anyway before you paint...so just invest in a power sander (probably just orbital) and sand the drawers down a bit...so they're not so tight. Remove hardware, Sand all the surfaces you plan to paint, and then clean, and paint. Love The Lines, But How To Change the Color? Good Questions |
