This is what I would do: Paint the door yellow, paint the porch steps, put up window boxes with colorful blooms, add shutters to the windows, clean up the landscaping and add a nice outdoor light in place of the old one. Thanks for the additional info Katie! I don't think you need curtains but I would hang the artwork like others suggested and add some height to the room. The corner by the credenza is begging for a tall plant. Hang Curtains Over Shuttered Windows? Good Questions |

I do think white would be too much unless you want to change the counter tops and paint the walls. I would paint all the cabinets gray, remove some of the doors to display some nice dishes, and get new hardware. I personally like bin pulls used on drawers.
