I couldn't wait to make this and it was amazing. I didn't have smoked almonds in the house but toasted pumpkin seeds worked really nicely.

I actually don't have that small of a screen, unless 19" is considered so these days.
But the home page today showed this as my full screen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/74112375@N00/6680213707/in/photostream. There's only 30% content on the page (the rest, navigation and ads) and of that 30%, it's all just one thing.

It doesn't need a redesign, just smaller fonts for headlines and text (like the font/size you have in all the left navigation entries) and only horizontal, smaller scale pictures.

Would you consider making the font size/photo/headlines just a wee bit smaller? Before, I used to be able to see more than 1 story before having to scroll down on the home page, whereas now each entry takes up almost my whole screen. As a past web designer myself, I was taught to give people more *before* they have to scroll/click to another page. I recently had this same problem with the re-design of another favorite site so I guess it's the "thing" now (Windows 7's new "puffy" layout anyone?), but please consider scaling everything down a smidge. It's like a large-print book.

I too have the "in-law costco canned salmon" situation...

I mix it with warm brown or red rice, sesame oil, rice or cider vinegar, spinach/edamame and shredded seaweed for a sushi salad. You can add whatever leftover veggies you might have, it's very flexible.

I've also used it on pasta with garlic and olive oil, parlsey and capers.

Speaking of eggs and quinoa... I scrambled some eggs with tomatoes and onions the other day but added a bit too much salt. In order to offset the saltiness, I threw a few spoonfuls of cooked quinoa into the mix and cooked a few seconds more. It was really delicious and a nice twist on your omelet here as a quicker option.

Yes, I'm obsessed too. Except it's only $4.99 in NYC. Very happy about that.

One of my favorite dishes is a fennel-apple salad. Thinly slice 1 small bulb (or 1/2 large bulb) or fennel (save the fronds). Thinly slice 1 granny smith apple. MIx together with juice of 1/2 lemon (or more to taste) and enough good olive oil to moisten but not be oily. Salt and pepper to taste and finally mix in the chopped fronds. It's so refreshing in the summer.

Not a recipe, but I recently had a really delicious rendition at Sapthagiri in Jersey City (only a quick PATH ride away) if you find yourself out there: http://www.yelp.com/biz/sapthagiri-jersey-city
