terrible...just terrible.

I have found so many great finds on the curb. I live in a college town in VA and I have to say, some college kids really don't know what they are getting rid of! Or they are too lazy to donate. I have found a set of 4 wood danish modern chairs, a big 50s style mirror, a gorgeous coffee table, framed art, and lots of little collectibles.

Curb-side finds are the way to go! The finds are so much sweeter...but don't get me wrong, I do pay for most of my things. :-)

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I will definitely consider all of the ideas. Although I think painting the chair black would look great on the chair, I don't know that it would fit the room because there really is no other black in the room. But I do think a dark stain is the way to go. I want it to look as sharp as possible. Then again, I like the idea of a bold color. Choosing seems to be more difficult than I thought! Oh and the fabric is Ikea.

Any ideas on how to highlight the wood detailing?

Great post! I just stopped in there a couple days ago and picked up a fantastic eames era end table for a real bargain...It is really difficult to get around and there is a lot of junk to dig through...but you may just find some treasures...I wish I had found that little owl, who cute!
