It's not even a question of etiquette, it's a question of completely unnecessary harm to the environment. That being said, if I were at a party where disposables were used, I would not say anything, but I would make sure I did not use more than one cup, plate or fork etc. Where Do You Stand on Disposable Flatware & Plates? I grew up in Chicago and we played in front of the house all the time. Whether it was hopscotch, riding your big wheels, or hide and seek with the other kids on the block, we used the sidewalk and by default, the front yard, as a place to play. Though our front yard is about 1/4 the size of the one in the picture. I also remember people frequently having yard sales in their front yard. The Case Against the American Front Lawn |
