Beautiful Home! I love the tailored look, and so organized and neat. Just curious, is the metal stairway balustrade and banisters your own DIY (or your idea implemented by someone else)?

Save your jealousy, racism, politics, and religion for another site please. It's not wanted here. This girl has guts and a great fashion sense and has no time for haters *#%$.

Being so frustrated by the all consuming, assuming, negative, insensitive, misinformed posts here, I feel I will now have to focus on the tours and try hard to not read any comments. I am done. It's turning into a mess.

We are forgetting about what this site is all about people! Design, helping save the world one room at a time-duh! Let's not put each other down, it's a waste of everyones time.

@Pi-well said. Love that peach dress with the gold belt. Nice home, not my taste, but so lovely and fierce, and very neat. "Go on with your bad self!" (said with attitude doing a Z-snap)

Love the idea to put part of a room divider/screen in front of a window for privacy-stealing it!!!!

@rynkeller hello from Minnesota! Yes plants are always good, I finally found some I can't kill. Haha. Loved the tour, a lot happening on some walls...but so much personality! I love it! So personalized and wonderful. Love the cb2 dining table and chairs and wall arrangement behind it-so glam. I'm inspired to paint now...off to dream in color.

I disagree with how to pick your palette. I better idea is to pick out a painting you adore, or a fabric you love with a minimum of about 3-5 colors in it and work from there. Starting with a multicolored fabric or wall art is easy and always a good place to start.

I am a bit confused about placement of furniture and different time periods of furniture, but if it works for you...go for it!

@lanamal I am confused by your comment. What do mean by "using interior designers for anything other than changing the the bones of the house is cheating!"

I just want to understand what you are saying. Is this in reaction to another person's comment. It is unclear.

@surfjack is right about about the comment from @visualizestacy

"it's clear the owners worked WITH the decorator to get the result we see here. Why is that a problem? I feel like inspiration can be found in a home that one person designed on a shoestring budget over time and even those that were done quickly or on a higher budget.Design and inspiration should transcend this issue and I think if you're open to it, you can find beauty or interest in any origin of design."

Yes! I also like how @surfjack used the word decorator, not designer. Please, please, know that there is a difference, yet they are equally as valuable as professions.

Love the glam meets lived-in vibe. Love every pic except the family photo gallery wall (the framed ones) above the chest with even more framed family pics. Too much going on there. Your eye needs white space to rest on and there should be consistent spacing either in between the photos or along the implied lines along the edges. Love your style so much!

I think propping in itself can be fun. It is a stress reliever to rearrange items on a shelf and make it look new or different. I can't afford to travel yet, I'm a recent grad so I go to thrift stores and buy a mexican mask or candle holder that catches my eye and bring it home and find a place for it. They may be props to some, but until I can afford to get something of more meaning-my home is still stylish and beautiful in the mean time. I never go overboard or "on trend" I just pick things I like that go with my color scheme that are the right scale. Remember the greeks got it right-sometimes you need the perfect oversized book to balance an are and get the proportion right.

Great personal touches. Although, I would suggest a different furniture arrangement in the living room. All the furniture is along the perimeter of the space, this is not pleasing to the eye or functional for conversation. Don't be afraid to move the sofa to the middle with chairs opposite. Otherwise, nice personal style.
