It is completely HE washer safe. I use this exact recipe and it works great with mine.

I use this exact recipe (minus the oil) and prefer to use lavender oil with the vinegar which I use as a softener. I can still smell the oil after the dry cycle. But it's not as fragrant as traditional lavender scented detergent.

I think it's more important that your appliances match each other and the decor more so than having to be stainless steel. I have lived in apartments that had mismatch appliances and it bothered me every time I was in the kitchen

For everyday cleaning I prefer Bona or the Rubbermaid brand mops. They come with reusable pads and I feel like they clean better. The dusters don't work that well in my opinion and for deep cleaning you still need the standards.

Do you use the Barcelona-style chair to put your shoes on as part of your entry 'landing strip' if not I would move it to another room.

The bookcase would be better and less of a focal point if it wasn't centered between the chair and couches. I think if you moved the chairs and couches closer together it would feel more defined.

I personally would play with the placement of furniture. I would try the and move the seating to face the windows.

I don't know how this would work unless I saw it in action, but if you really wanted to define the two spaces you could declutter the book shelf to let some light in and put it between the entrance and the living room. Just a few thoughts.

I really like the idea of a frame around a TV and adding a few or many photos or art around it for a gallery wall effect. An example here:

I personally think it allows you to customize the style while also taking some of the focus off the TV when you initially enter the room. While adding some interest to the wall.

Having a larger picture of the space your working with might help.

But I would consider placing a bookcase on one side and maybe some tall vases on the other side for balance.

I'm going to go with either B or D. B because it could be made out of an extremely rare and expensive wood. D because of its style and age, and was most likely owned by someone important.
