The English doing one of the many things they do best! I love the modern interpretations of the monochromatic florals and the larger scaled geometrics. So many people are terrified of color and scale, especially Americans. Pattern and scale probably go against our collective consciousness of Puritanism and undeserved restraint.Remember that artwork, furniture, etc. go on and in front of walls, breaking up huge swathes of pattern. Great confident sense of one's self. I loved the contemporary elements of the home, yet also appreciated the references to the classics and traditional decor. I am really taken with the bedroom shot, especially the painting and still life compositions over the console. The painting of the two men is FANTASTIC!!! THANKS FOR SHARING. Sorry, I don't love the front door. I think it is totally wrong and disrespectful to the original architecture and integrity of the house's exterior.
