I haven't been around for a little while, and I missed the original poll, but I have to jump in here with my favorites which were left out. I'm a gin-in-the-summer, whiskey-in-the-winter drinker.

Gin: Citadelle. This is a French gin, really complex, floral and spicy. It has the juniper berries, and the citrus and cinnamon, but it also has cardamom and anise, and it's aged in cognac barrels! Not too pricy, for all that. I like it in a gimlet or a martini.

Bourbon: Woodford Reserve. I'll join with those above and say this is just a really great buy. Smooth, caramel-y, delicious.

If you want pricey, Jefferson's Reserve is tasty and firey.

You rum and vodka drinkers can discuss amongst yourselves.

We have a Soda Stream Penguin and have loved it. So great to have easy access to the bubbles.

However, we were really disheartened to learn that the principal manufacturing facility for the company is in an illegal West Bank settlement. Expropriation has made the land cheap. Here's a report on the case: Soda Stream on Who Profits

We'd really prefer not to support the activity, and we're looking for alternatives, so if theKitchn community know of any comparable products made according to better ethical practices, I'd love to hear them.

Just curious, which Robert Allen fabric is it that was used for the dining room curtains? In Roma/ Beacon Hill? It looks less like a damask, though, a little more sheer with many shades of orange instead of just one.

I'm going to plead with you to keep your books. For several years out of college, I led a nomadic life, so I make a conscious effort not to buy or keep books. I borrowed from my local library, from my friends, and then I gave away most of the books I did gather, except for a box or two.

Then I met my husband, who hadn't moved that far before we met, and who has a lovely, large book collection. I regret that our eight 8' tall, 3' wide bookcases do not have more of my life and memories in them, though it was nice to get connected to a new copy of a book I'd read somewhere else.

We've moved them several times, across the country once, and I don't regret a bit of the effort.

So keep your books! They're part of you.

I think it must be A. Looks like the original finish, handmade, turned stretcher and legs. Also old and American made!

Thanks for the suggestion...we did use padmapper religiously. But in the end, we found a place we adored on westside rentals, and it wasn't even in the geographic area I was expecting. But I'm excited anyway!

As an Echo Park dweller about to make the big jump to the west side, I am just as interested in how these people found their apartment (with five closets, no less) as in how they decorated it. That said, love that ice blue color! Makes the bedroom look so calm.
