This sauce is nice, but maybe overrated? It was really easy and definitely creamy with all the butter. I paired it with an egg papardelle which I don't think stood up to all the creaminess. Maybe next time I would try it with whole wheat pasta.

Aberfoyle is a great market. It runs from May to October, every Sunday. It's $2 to get in and its pretty big, just roughly a 45 minute drive from Toronto. I go pretty often, usually towards the end of the day hoping to get a deal---which usually works as the vendors don't always want to pack everything up at the end of the day. In comparison to Christie--yes Christie is definitely bigger with more vendors and only held twice per year so the selection is more varied. At Aberfoyle it can sometimes get a little stagnant in terms of the selection, probably because there is only a week between each show. I've picked up lots of things at both markets, especially Aberfoyle. If you live in the Toronto area or you are visiting, Aberfoyle is worth the trip.

Looks awesome. That had to have been difficult, but it looks really smooth. How did you get it to stay in the frame of the counter top?

I see the problem with the counter tops! I think the problem with replacing them is that you feel guilty getting rid of something that is so expensive. If your going to get rid of them, an inexpensive option would be the Lagan butcher block at ikea (its the cheapest one and it looks really nice once you wood-treat it). I'm sure there is somewhere you can trade in your existing counter tops for their value. However if you are going to keep the green counter top, go really neutral. White, cream, black, charcoal. Those will offset the green and make it look luxurious, not dated.
