I think it would be super cool if you did some custom shelves all along the wall, leaving the backs off of the shelves over the windows. Does that make sense? So a wall of built ins, with a few shelves being windows. That would be so fun, and a great way to display some beautiful glass vases. How To Fit Book Storage into Low Ceilinged Area? on our first night in a new house, my sister ran through a glass door (non tempered glass) and had to get 92 stitches in her leg! she was ok in the end, and i got to clean the large puddle of blood in the kitchen. get your glass tempered! So I grew up and lived in 3 different old houses that my parents completely renovated themselves. My dad is really handy. and we used to always watch This Old House and he did everything around the house. The best part of this story is that my dad looks just like Bob Vila and has been mistaken for him a few times in airports, so eventually, his nickname became Bob Vila around the house when he was working.
