I agree with Miss Riss. They are after your apartment and want you out. Stick to your grounds and request a meeting with the landlord/manager. Show him all the texts as well as a list of the things you are doing to accommodate your neighbors (even show photos of the pads). Make sure he understands that you are a polite, tolerant neighbor and that your downstairs neighbors are the problem, HIS problem. How Do I Deal with Neighbor's Excessive Noise Complaints? Problem #1,my living room is a boring rectangle with two small windows at one end. I don't know how the break the boring rectangle except with an L shaped sofa, but that creates an empty, unused space behind (we don't want a dining table, we use the kitchen island to have our meals and entertain) Your Biggest & Smallest Living Room Problems?? 2013 Reader Forum |

I have the exact same problem in my living room, a big empty wall and I don't want to do the gallery thing either, done that and over it now... Also, I don't have the budget to buy large pieces of art and frame them.Let me now if you find a cheap solution :) Your Biggest & Smallest Living Room Problems?? 2013 Reader Forum |

Such a pretty and well thought space. I like that it's not too baby-is and that Aurora will be able to grow into her room without many changes. I can definitely imagine a 5 yo girl in this room, just toss the changing pad once she's potty-trained, that's all! This is one lucky little girl... Aurora's Tiffany Box Room on a Budget My Room |

1. I can't seem to find nice cotton sheets in a pretty color that are not satin. I HATE satin sheets, they always wrinkle and the bed looks undone even when done. Your Biggest Bedroom Problems?? 2013 Reader Forum |

This reminds me of the grass cloth covered parsons table from west elm. I do prefer the west elm version though, especially because the paper was left natural as opposed to painted. I like the idea but I thinking painting the table was a mistake, it takes away the beauty of grasscloth and makes me wonder why it was used to start with.... Very nice home! A bit too organized for my taste, maybe lacks some "real" life, but it's overall tasteful except for surrounding a Buddha statue with booze... you lost major points on that one, sorry. Jessica & Jonathan's 'Like-Eich' Ranch House Tour |

Maybe posting photos of your home is like saying "Hey! Look what I did!". Working on your home, or even just one room provides a great sense of achievement and I understand that many people feel compelled to show their work. But, I also believe there is deeper logic to displaying your home to the public eye: a need for approval. It doesn't matter who approves of us as long as we receive compliments or a pat in the back. Our interiors are a direct extension of ourselves and if we need to show it so much and long for positive feedback, I think it reflects a need for approval, not just of our homes, but of ourselves. However, as mentioned in the post, the risk is that we may also receive negative comments, and this would only feed our sense of insecurity, hiding behind these design blogs and house tours... Good post. But I think vertical space can be used with a variety of organizing tools, not just shelves. Like hooks or wall pockets for instance. I do love shelves though, my living room would be a mess without them! One Minute Tip: Three Ways to Use Vertical Space Apartment Therapy Videos |
