I agree with Miss Riss. They are after your apartment and want you out. Stick to your grounds and request a meeting with the landlord/manager. Show him all the texts as well as a list of the things you are doing to accommodate your neighbors (even show photos of the pads). Make sure he understands that you are a polite, tolerant neighbor and that your downstairs neighbors are the problem, HIS problem.
And please, don't tiptoe or live in total silence. Taking off your shoes and respecting quiet hours is plenty.
Good luck!

Beautifull, but no amount of work can justify $190 for a freaking pillow cover. Period.

I definitely need to clean up the cord mess behind my TV, so this is a useful post!

I really like the cure so far, even though it's often hard to keep up while taking care of my VERY active toddler ;) Try deep cleaning a room while a 2 yo is clinging onto your legs and whining because you're not playing with her!
And since we live in a tiny apartment, I can't make noise while she naps or sleeps, otherwise, she wakes up... But, so far so good, I feel I achieved far more with the cure than when trying to do this on my own.

For me, what's really working is that there is a different chore everyday and that makes me more relaxed about the whole thing. I now see it as a process and I know everything will get done, as long as I follow the instructions.
Before, when I was trying to do something like this on my own, I would get stuck thinking of everything I have to do, not knowing where to start and trying to do too many things at once!

So, thanks AT!

Beautiful home! Really nice work guys. I particularly like how every room "work" with one another without ever competing and still retain some personality.
Does anyone know what kind of plant is on the 23rd picture?

This is disgusting. Trying to use a baby to clean the floor. Grab a f*** mop and clean it yourself!

Problem #1,my living room is a boring rectangle with two small windows at one end. I don't know how the break the boring rectangle except with an L shaped sofa, but that creates an empty, unused space behind (we don't want a dining table, we use the kitchen island to have our meals and entertain)

Problem #2 is that the living room floor is slanted and I don't know what to do to make it less obvious

Problem #3 is explained in the above comment,a big empty wall I don't know what to do about.

I have the exact same problem in my living room, a big empty wall and I don't want to do the gallery thing either, done that and over it now... Also, I don't have the budget to buy large pieces of art and frame them.Let me now if you find a cheap solution :)

Such a pretty and well thought space. I like that it's not too baby-is and that Aurora will be able to grow into her room without many changes. I can definitely imagine a 5 yo girl in this room, just toss the changing pad once she's potty-trained, that's all! This is one lucky little girl...

1. I can't seem to find nice cotton sheets in a pretty color that are not satin. I HATE satin sheets, they always wrinkle and the bed looks undone even when done.
2. My husband's side of the bed is always a quagmire of headphones, phone chargers, laptop charger, socks, boxers and occasional apple pits. I haven't found a side table that can accommodate all of this easily.

If I dig down, I'll end up in my downstairs neighbors' living room...

When can I move in?

I love almost everything in this space, it's so tasteful and warm. I particularly like the big orange pillow on the sofa, where is it from?

Very well done!

I completely agree with @LSAB!
No offense, this is a truly beautiful home, but I just miss the days when AT was about practical, personal and realistic homes. If I want to be impressed by what money can buy, I can just get a copy of Dwell or Elle Decor....

This reminds me of the grass cloth covered parsons table from west elm. I do prefer the west elm version though, especially because the paper was left natural as opposed to painted. I like the idea but I thinking painting the table was a mistake, it takes away the beauty of grasscloth and makes me wonder why it was used to start with....

Very nice home! A bit too organized for my taste, maybe lacks some "real" life, but it's overall tasteful except for surrounding a Buddha statue with booze... you lost major points on that one, sorry.

Maybe posting photos of your home is like saying "Hey! Look what I did!". Working on your home, or even just one room provides a great sense of achievement and I understand that many people feel compelled to show their work. But, I also believe there is deeper logic to displaying your home to the public eye: a need for approval. It doesn't matter who approves of us as long as we receive compliments or a pat in the back. Our interiors are a direct extension of ourselves and if we need to show it so much and long for positive feedback, I think it reflects a need for approval, not just of our homes, but of ourselves. However, as mentioned in the post, the risk is that we may also receive negative comments, and this would only feed our sense of insecurity, hiding behind these design blogs and house tours...

Good post. But I think vertical space can be used with a variety of organizing tools, not just shelves. Like hooks or wall pockets for instance. I do love shelves though, my living room would be a mess without them!
