I removed everything from my pantry shelves and wiped them down yesterday. I purged a few items. I really need to rethink tea. I have a TON of it and I don't drink it all that often. It is taking up an entire shelf! Today I need to finish organizing the shelves and then it is off to tackle the fridge.

This cure is just what I need to organize my kitchen. I feel like everything in my kitchen is a puzzle and I'm trying to make the pieces fit together. There is stuff that should probably go away and clutter on the floor from stuff that has no home! I am documenting my kitchen cure at my blog Beach Digs.

I have been to a JBF sale and it was amazing. The sale is huge! It took up a whole convention floor. There are many good deals to be had. I only wish there was one closer to me.

I went to Costa Rica with my 14 month old son and it went great. He was a bit squirmy on the plane, but even adults can get squirmy on planes, lol. We had to pay an extra fee even though he was a lap child, so be sure to check on that. I told his dr we were going to Costa Rica at his well baby check up and the dr said everything would be fine. All in all it was a great trip.

I made this for dinner tonight and it was so good. I used half and half instead of milk. I served it with a salad dressed in vinaigrette. I will be making this for a family get-together I am having soon.

I love it. This is just the kind of ingenuity I love to see on AT. I also like to buy Ikea stuff from craigslist.

I made this tonight with farfalle pasta and I added a can of garbanzo beans. My husband loved it. Thanks for the great recipe.

This is my favorite quick pasta dish. I call it Broccoli Pasta. Bring a big pot of water to a boil then add your favorite pasta (mine is farfalle or penne) and cook until al dente. During the last 6 minutes of cooking, add a head of broccoli, chopped up, to the boiling water and pasta. Meanwhile heat about half a cup of olive oil in a small pan over low heat. Add a lot of chopped garlic and a pinch of red peppers and simmer on low heat until pasta is done. Be careful not to let the garlic brown, heat should be very low. Drain the pasta and add it back to the big pot. Pour garlic and oil over the pasta, add about a cup of parmesan and mix everything up. Simple and delicious.

I keep all my skillets in the oven. I have definitely preheated the oven, more than once, with everything still in there. Luckily they are heat proof. When I use the oven I have to take everything out and it sits on the floor which is inconvenient. I don't like using it as storage, but I am lacking in better ideas right now.

I had house guests this weekend and made this salad on Saturday night. I followed the recipe exactly, but added some dill along with the basil. It was delicious and my guests loved it. It went great with the wild salmon fillets we grilled up. We had lots of leftovers and the salad has been keeping well. Bravo.

The "Wintry Blend" from Trader Joe's is the best ever! The coffee has some spices in it, like clove and peppercorns. Its kinda like drinking coffee with a subtle chai flavor. It is so good.

I usually saute up an onion and then add the sauce. I always pour about a cup of wine in the jar and swish it around to get everything that sticks to the jar. I pour this into the sauce and let simmer.

I made this for breakfast this morning and it was a hit! I served it with organic raspberries, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a mimosa. OMG! It was so good. I made my husband and son come in the kitchen when I pulled it out to get some oohs and awes. I halved the recipe and it was fine. I also found a dutch baby cooking video that is really cute. They call it a puff daddy!

Oh brie is so decadent and delicious. I could never have so much in the house! I like baked brie with apricot jam. Almost any jam or chutney put on top or inside of brie and then wrapped in pastry is a match made in heaven. Here is a good baked brie cooking video.

Yummy. I like to make osso bucco with ox tail. Osso Bucco usually uses veal shanks but ox tail or lamb shanks always make good substitutes in an osso bucco recipe.
