I love the tamarind candies and tamarind pulp. I also sprinkle tajin on fruit (funny...the bottle says "not a candy") or some chamoy. Sweet, Salty, Sour & Spicy: A Photo Guide to Mexican Snacks |

I get really frustrated when people say "excercise more!" or "cut out sugar! soda! cookies!". What if you already eat pretty healthy, don't drink soda, don't eat sugar-y foods and stay away from "white carbs", no chips, no snacking, eat good portions and walk everywhere and excercise? @Lomoa - I do the same minus the sugar! Tajin is great. You can also make a chile rim for a cocktail with it. Now I want one. Crunchy & Cool: Jicama Ingredient Spotlight |

I prefer the pink grapefruits over the white/yellow ones - I find that they taste sweeter. Also, make sure you're not eating the membranes which are bitter and not very tasty (you're probably not but just in case you were trying to eat the grapefruit like an orange...) I love basil! Sadly, my potted basil plants in my apartment always die on me. I'm on my 3rd one this summer and its already on the brink of extinction. The leaves become splotchily-transparentish (not a word, I know) and then shrivel up and die. Sigh. Goes With Anything: Dorie Greenspan's Ode to Basil |
