No way for permanent residence, I like my "horders" - level (at least according to my husband) of books and craft supplies but as a vacation spot - Amazing! I would love to buy a plot of land somewhere near the beach and put this there and maybe build a bigger better dream house later on. When the US copycat version pops up, I'll be in line to buy. Um, what's wrong with having a collection of teapots? I love my teapots! My favorite is a handmade tea set I picked up from the fair trade store while traveling in Egypt. I carried it home in my arms through two connecting flights! Of course I love both the tea pots in this collection that are listed in pounds which means they're one and a half times the price listed plus large shipping fees! I'll stick with my pots at home! We used to hang a pirate flag from our window but we took it down when I frosted the windows to let in more light while keeping privacy. There was a house down the street from my old home that would do a holiday village in their picture window at Christmas. I liked it, but it was on a curve at a busy street, I'd always get distracted looking at it so it seemed pretty dangerous to me. Wild Home Window Displays: Would You? |

Almost all of my experiences on Etsy have been very positive but I've become very careful about buying jewelry. You can easily be fooled by a great photographer into thinking you're buying a well made piece but after a couple of purchases leaving me extremely disappointed I now look closely at the materials and won't buy anything that doesn't have multiple images to view from. That's always frustrating for me because it's not the seller's fault. I recently ordered a small "gold" ring. Due to the price, I assumed it was real gold - it wasn't. It tarnished the first day I wore it and while I thought it was a solid piece it turned out the seller had glued a small tin charm onto an adjustable metal ring.
