The panda chair exists. I saw it last month at the Dallas Museum of Art as part of the Form/Unformed exhibit. Recently, someone came up with a peeps version!

I bought my daughter the Custom cloth doll from justplainbeckyw on Etsy for about $30. I had 6 different skin tones and you can choose a boy. It's not as artistic as some of the examples above, but I was very pleased with it as a gift for my daughter.

Quinny Buzz stroller. Seemed like a good idea, but the carriers were easier in the end. My daughter has been in the stroller less than 6 times over the past 19 months. I wish we had splurged on the Tripp Trapp instead...

My favorites are de la Rosa marzipan (pictured above) and goat-milk caramels - yum!

We have the Tomy set, which is popular with my toddler and anyone visiting, but it's only five pieces and the toddler is convinced that one of the pieces should not be used and banishes it under the fridge. I think I may have to order the Magnetic Gears as a supplement. (The Tomy pieces are a bit more interesting...)

I totally advocate playing it by ear.

I bought myself a really nice Quinny Buzz (secondhand but still expensive) before my daughter was born. In 18 months, she has ridden in it less than 5 times. Who would have known we were really baby-wearing parents? Carriers and slings are just so more convenient.

I was hoping for a before and after as well. We need a shed and the only ones that seem to fit our budget are the ones like the before picture...

Our friends knew we were moving to our first house nearby so they had offered to help.

I printed out invitations explaining when "the big move" was and when the after-party would start at the new place. The after-party was open to everyone who helped and their families and active older friends (age 70+) that we didn't want lifting things...

We had everything packed ahead of time and were moving from a small apartment. We had budgeted about 4 hours (2 hours loading, 10 minutes driving, 2 hours unloading), but with all the help we were done in 2 hours.

At the new place, we had pizza, trays of awesome wings, and a 1/4 keg of birch beer (there was going to be a lot of kids). It was great because we finally had a place big enough for all our friends to hang out.

This room is a wonderful example of how to use color and pattern. Amazing and timeless. Thank you for showing how to get wonderful results while be cost-conscious.

Are modern chairs an option? It has become fashionable to include something obviously traditional in an otherwise modern room.

If this is not an option, as much as I want to agree with Duane Hill, storage could be more costly in the long run than finding a quality piece when you're ready for it.

I had commented early on and now realize why I think this room is so interesting - it is so totally stereotypical girly, but with a creepy, gothic twist.

Who's to say that the occupant doesn't like this - perhaps her favorite movie is Coraline?

Wow! What a memorable room. Coral is so much easier on the eyes than bright pink, though I must admit the dolls scare me a little.

Do you have a source for the deer?

We used to have heaters like those! Our cat used to sit on them in the winter until they turned on - quite toasty.

I admire how you arranged the kitchen.

I love the living room. I would love to know the source of the wallpaper on the fireplace wall. The mix of furniture is wonderfully executed.

2-3 avocados
2 roasted serranos

Put them in a food processor until it has the consistency of whipped cream. It feels light and cool on the tongue until the heat kicks in. We find it very addictive... and the chips tend to have sufficient salt.

The parking lot.

I am annoyed when people abandon their cart in the space right next to a corral. I am also annoyed when, people, mostly women, park in the family spaces when shopping alone. Neither is illegal, but quite selfish. sigh.
