My boyfriend and I made pretty much this same chicken yesterday, only without having seen your post beforehand. We only cooked it with potatoes in the pan and they were delicious. I love your idea of using various fruits and veggies- wish we thought of that!

For anyone making a chicken like this, rubbing it down with fresh herbs like thyme, sage, and rosemary mixed with some canola or olive oil makes for some tasty seasoning.

It is so fascinating for me to read these comments! My parents don't really care about design and so while our house was always clean it was never really beautiful or well thought out. I never even started to think about design until I was in my 20's, so my room was never an issue for me. Bed, dresser, white walls- no problem.

I hope that when I have kids I can find a nice balance. I'm still not overly obsessed with my living environment (my boyfriend designed my place for me while I was out of town), but I would like to give me kids more of a sense for design than I ever had growing up.

Those shakers are so perfect!

I agree that the solo chair at the foot looks weird and doesn't have much purpose. A long storage bench that you can sit on (like #9) is perfect though! I would want one to sit on while putting on shoes/socks/nylons, etc. Especially with a significant other who sleeps later than I do, I don't want to sit back down on the bed and wake him up!

I really liked how you decorated the area above both beds. The wood was charming and the pink-ish art was really nice! Does anyone else see a bunny in it?

My first thought upon seeing the before was WOW cool cabinets. But if they are falling apart and you are trying to sell then the after is a good way to go. With some personalization the after will have a LOT of charm.
