Sorry but the paint colour, paintings (not just one but two) and the bed linen is too matchy matchy for my taste. Would have preferred to see the original paintings on the wall. Before & After: Adding a Subtle Wall Color Hommemaker |

I just wonder about the huge fridge. Perhaps it is the angle of the photos but it seems to be front and centre of the lounge area and I am not too sure that is what I would want to rest my eyes on. And agree about the coffee tables - the way the base protrudes beyond the top means a klutz like me would be forever banging her shins. Long Island City: Modern Living at the View Showhouse Tour |

And a banana tree to top it off! I bought one in a dollar shop and gave it to my parents for Christmas as a "joke" gift. Well, they loved it and gave me one right back the next year. It is certainly a talking point in any kitchen. Before & After Kitchen Remodel: Keeping the Best of the Past |

Love it but those spears leaning on the stairs/bookcase are in just the right position to make klutz kebabs. Living in a Jewel Box: Bill & Richard's Gorgeously Grand Small Space House Beautiful |

@pearmelon - a really bad choice of topic to joke about. Marmol Radziner Designs with Kids & Outdoors in Mind Los Angeles Times |

The "they live with danger everywhere" argument is such baloney. The point is they are at home - they run about. Do you really want to live with kids as though camped in a parking lot or in the middle of a road? Water is an attraction to kids - they associate it with fun. A swimming pool is as dangerous to unsupervised/escaped small children as a pool of acid and I know what would happen if you tried to put that next to your living room. The idea that an architect designed this with children in mind is appalling. Marmol Radziner Designs with Kids & Outdoors in Mind Los Angeles Times |

Thing the lamp on the table is too big too - sorry - and agree about the plant - much nicer than that stove and jug arrangement. Before & After: From 1991 to 21st Century Dining Room |

How cosy and happy does Zion look on that glorious quilt and reading a book?! Or is there another Mac behind there? ;) Jamison, Alec & Zion's "Elegant Circus" Home House Tour |

Love it but wonder how the hand-held shower works with the shower curtain once it is drawn along its track as it ends up on the wrong side of the curtain. Before & After: Andi & Dean's Master Bath on a Budget |

Most of those "books" look like magazines or papers - not really on-line material. I think it is a great way to make use of the space. My only hesitation would have been using black in the kitchen but this pulls it off. White would have looked cheap and the black gives it a Japanese feel. Well done. What happened to my "sorry but horrible comment"? Can I not express a negative opinion here unless some positive spin is added to try and soften the critisism? This pic was put up here for comment, and comment I did. I simply dont like the new look and cant find a positive to say about the chair. If I add "but good to see some greenery" does that help? My first instinct was get some large picture books. Perhaps running the cord along under the horizontal shelf support then down the rear of the vertical front pipe would have worked too, all the while painted the same colour as that on the pipe. You've Got to Hide Your Cord Away |
