Great job! And my favorite parts are the back door (color and character) and the way you embraced the bubbles in the concrete counters. Just looks like it's a comfortable space. Claire & Jeffrey's Kitchen: The Big Reveal Renovation Diary |

I've been wanting to make crackers other than cheese straws, a southern classic, since so many options that don't contain soybean oil are so expensive. Thanks for sharing. And all of the great comments can only help. How To Make Crackers at Home Cooking Lessons from The Kitchn |

What a fun room! I'm also quite inspired by the behind the door chalkboard, which makes great use of often hard to use space. Desmond's Tiny Travel-Themed Room My Room |

Love not only the use of color but that the vibe of your house is so welcoming. Thanks for an inspiring share of your home. And I might just love the most that you announce it with that aqua door...in Denver where using bright colors is not that common. (I also live here) Kristy's Tropical Tudor House Tour |

Several others have mentioned and I will concur - any cool color with north light will make the room seem univiting and cold. Even a hint of warmth in the color will help. Some of the other colors mentioned (esp the Ben Moore historical colors) might be nice, but you likely need them several shades lighter than the regular mix. A small room + north light = less color needed for a saturated look. Test out your selections! What Wall Color Goes Best with This Quilt? Good Questions |

The day my roommate's cat brought in a bird to play with...and then let it go. My bird story memory....And of course, said roomie, owner of the cat, wasn't home. Thankfully, I wasn't alone with Houdini the Siamese and his catch. Roomie #3 was also there to experience, wave, and shout with me. She was shouting more though as I recall, and that is because the bird flew into her room and sat in her clothes hamper. At this moment, I can't recall how the bird got out of the house except that it was unharmed by any of us, and I haven't let said owner of the cat ever forget that day, as years later we are still friends. And I miss her cat Houdini terribly. He always had a way of making me smile. How To Get a Bird Out of the House |

Because some parts of the piping will get consistent wear, any sharpie or dye will tend to wear off over time in those spots, such as on the seat edge. Since you liked it enough to purchase it, you must like the orange well enough. I agree with previous posts that a touch of orange elsewhere will tie it all together. At the same time, you'll be creating a more sophisticated room. Go for it! Do I Need Accents that Coordinate with Piping Color? Good Questions |
