Complete envy. I often admire house tours but rarely spot something that feels like home, only better. Saving this one for inspiration.

I am having trouble getting past all the drapes and curtains. To me it seems so jarring and out-of-sync with the rest of the cabin's style. If this were my place and I needed something over the windows I would choose interior shutters. Otherwise I like the clean lines and simple furnishings.

Hey former East/Park/Monroe veteran here. I disagree about drapes -- Let the Light In!! But why is the focal point of the living area a large-screen TV? That depresses me.

I have a smoking neighbor who doesn't smoke in her apartment, but on the common terrace which is where all of our apartment windows open onto. She says she doesn't want her apartment walls to be dirtied by the smoke. She is a night owl who smokes from 4 pm - 10 am. Almost every half hour she is out on the terrace smoking and if our bedroom windows are open I will awake in the middle of the night to the smell of cigarette smoke. I have spoken to her about it with no change. I have complained to the management but again no relief. This summer has been so hot we've had the a.c. on every night but I just don't have any other solution.
