@Tonkali

I LOVE Rex's i want one of those too! I have not been lucky enough to meet one yet either.

My husband found the plaster cat wall hangings on Craigslist for about $25 for the pair!

@byphu

The artwork is by Mark Ryden. He has most definitely influenced Black Apple of Etsy Fame.

@webpossum & @littlepitcher -

The table is a Skovby SM101 which is a fairly expensive table that we got for a steal on craigslist. I had the idea that perhaps there is a hutch out there somewhere with similar measurements and I went combing through craigslist and really lucked into the piece I found. What you see in that photo is the top of a two piece hutch which (in a stroke of enormous luck) not only matched the dimensions of the folded Skovby, but also in stain.

We mounted the top piece to the wall using heavy weight tested Toggle Snap Toggle anchors, simply measuring it carefully so it would float about an inch above the table while folded and sitting against the wall.

Here are photos of the table opened and closed. (Forgive our old paint color, ha ha).

Best of luck recreating something similar! I do know there's been some chatter on this blog about drop leaf's before - check here for some ideas - http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/good-questions/good-questions-drop-leaf-table-alternatives-019423

@Kay McCurly
I'm not familiar with Whippet Personalities but my Italian Greyhounds are good with cats. These four have only been living together for a few months and the Iggie additions to our family have taken some time getting used to for our Sphynx's but over-all I'm happy with their interaction. The Iggies can get excited and chase the cats but they stop when told; however, I've known Iggies to play with cats as if they were cats!! These dogs are amazing and if you want to look into getting one please contact your local Italian Greyhound Rescue b/c our rescue receives new Iggies every week and they all need forever homes!! People turn them in b/c they can be hard to house break and they are not good with small kids b/c they are fragile and need LOT'S of LOVE!! I hope this helps!

@Shadlyn and Nomadchicky

That is a good question! I can honestly say that I'm not sure but very thankful that they don't bother with those shelves. I wouldn't be surprised though that b/c they have SO MANY places to climb and hide that they don't need to bother with the few spaces that are off limits! Or at least that's what I'd like to think. :-) Crystal
