This was my favorite too. Small, cool, innovative and intriguing. Great use of space and a wonderful coherent design, leading to a lovely, cheerful and comfortable looking space. Congrats! Apartment Therapy New York | Small Cool 2008: First Place |

Lots of color and personality, a very vibrant and alive-feeling space. Gorgeous! Had to laugh at the horseshoe tucked in with the religious icons... covering all the bases? :) Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Southwest #28: Kim's Treetop Nest#comments#comments |

Great space, and I really wanted to love it. Especially after seeing the Ramones poster! Unfortunately, however, that shade of green alone, much less together with the color of the couch, is really not doing anything for me at all... it feels kind of depressing. Sorry. I got a sense of your kitchen and bedroom, but nothing else. Sorry to say, the photos were poorly chosen and gave me no sense of the overall living space at all. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Southwest #29: J'aime's Light and Shadows |

I love the bold green wall against the concrete and crisp whites. I think you've done a great job in meeting the "small cool" brief... good design, color, and use of space, and personally, I'm quite pleased to see those Ikea pieces put together so well with your personal touches like that fabulous deer cutout high on the living room wall. Fascinating to look at, but I don't feel it's really a livable space. There's nowhere to put simple ordinary things like clothes and shoes, much less to store any mementos or off-season clothing. You have a great eye for color and design... your home looks so pulled together and welcoming. Very cool. I can only imagine what you'll be able to accomplish when you DO have financial resources because you've done such a great job without them. Well done! :) Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest #18: Lacey's Comfortingly Eclectic |

Beautiful apartment... sophisticated and urban, but with a lot of personality. Love those blue chairs in the living room, with just the right table between them. Generally, love the varied collection of occasional tables in different places, the use of color, the art, and the way your collection of white ceramics is featured spilling from room to room - all give the place a personal stamp. One of my faves and I hope we'll see more in the semi-finals. Super cool from me. Good luck! Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Northwest #13: David's Designer Digs |

Great apartment... definitely one of my top 5! Lots of personality, bold colors used beautifully - love the orange stripe in the living room - and it really has a feel of being lived in. The scale of the theatre seats and series of small ottomans leaves you with some extra floor space, and that helps give the whole place an airy feel. Seems a lot bigger than it really is. Great job. Definitely super cool! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Southwest #17: Matthew's Cartoonist Corner |

I don't think you have to get too drastic to get quite a bit closer to what you want. I'd remove two chairs from around the table (put them elsewhere when not in use) to show off the shape of the table better, and place a nice big shallow white bowl on the table. A piece of artwork with a huge white matte (or white background) hung above the table would help too. When you can manage it, add a rug under the table and replace the bar stools. I don't think there's ever going to be a way to marry those stools with that table, but something very simple and white, even if still modern in shape, could work. You could add a pop of color from the artwork to accessories in the bowl, as well as to accessories in the kitchen, to help pull it together. Love the pop of purple against all that white... beautiful light in that room. I'm not fond of the antlers though, or the animal hide on the floor. What's with that? Skin rugs seem to be turning up everywhere... is this a new trend? Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look! White Room, Purple Chair#comments#comments#comments |

I don't how I missed this first time around, but your place is absolutely gorgeous. LOVE your light grey sofa and and dark rug. I can't tell if the rug is genuinely black or very dark charcoal, but it looks stunning on the wood floor. (How do you live without a coffee table? Not a criticism... more of a lament, since I can't imagine being without one.) Apartment Therapy New York | East #17: Michael's Air & Light - Downtown New York City Loft |

I really enjoyed viewing your apartment. I love your dining area, great scale for the place. Despite not being a big apartment, it does have an airy, restful feel to it. The color scheme is restful. Kudos for keeping it simple and still making it feel like a real home. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest #10 - Stephanie's Simple Sanctuary |
