I just made a huge pot of tomato basil soup that is good served hot or room temp and does not require refrigeration. I also hard boiled all our eggs and am planning on frying all our bacon.

The Russians really know their way around a cabbage! Piroshkys stuffed with cabbage and pickled cabbage are my favorites.

When I was in residency and working crazy hours, I'd always keep a bag of homemade frozen potstickers in the freezer. A friend and I would get together every few months and spend a few hours playing potsticker factory. No defrost necessary, from freezer to hot comforting dinner in less than 10 min (including making a dipping sauce)! Make a variety of potstickers - chicken, pork, chive, vegetable, etc- and you will be amazed how many days in a row you can eat them!

Dress spaghetti noodles in a peanut sauce (PB, soy sauce, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, pinch of sugar) and toss with whatever veggies you have laying around (a bag of broccoli slaw, carrots, cucumber, peppers are my favorites). Make a batch of korean style spicy tuna (tuna, kewpie or reg. mayo, sriracha, sesame oil) and use for sushi or hand rolls.

I just made this with arugula instead of asparagus. A delicious side dish for grilled fish!

@skbdvm - TJ's Harvest Grain Blend has mini garbanzo beans in it that look like lentils. Mine still had some bite to them but they were definitely cooked through.

I have the iceorb/sex-toy chic ice bucket - love it because it takes very little space in my tiny freezer.

Just made this with Maille dijon, farmers market tomatoes, and basil. Delicious! I did seed the tomato slices and baked for about 45 minutes to get the free formed edges to brown. Will probably use another herb (maybe thyme) next time or add basil after the tart has baked to avoid the crispy burnt basil bits I had this time.

How I long for a kitchen triangle. I have the dreaded single wall kitchen in a (wait for it) GALLEY KITCHEN SPACE. Why??? I've put a kitchen cart on the empty wall for some counter space but the ridiculousness of my rental kitchen knows no bounds.

Just made hainanese chicken last week! Adapted a recipe from Steamy Kitchen. She has a killer red chili sauce recipe that cheats using Sriracha. I was skeptical at first but the taste was right on, and it only took a few minutes to whisk together!

The dipping sauces are my favorite part :)
