I signed up for this site just to leave my "me too" comment-- We bought the Tall Wood Frame Queen Size on 3/4/2011. Today is 5/27/2011, less than 3 months that we've had the bed and tonight, the left side of the bed frame cracked in half and collapsed. We both weigh under 250 pounds total, so it's not us... And it's not like we were doing "anything" at the time this collapsed. Just sat down on the side of the bed and *CRACK*. Now, funny thing is, I went to Google to check on warranty for the bed and this blog post is the first to come up. I should have read this before we bought the bed!!! And this is *really* funny-- I call West Elm customer service and the rep on the phone, when I said my bed broke, she asks, is it the tall wooden bed frame? I said, "yes" and she says, "I have the same bed and it's broken on the right side, so I have books stacked on that side and sleep on the left side!!" I didn't know if I wanted to ROFL or cry... So yes, West Elm is aware of "problems" with this bed, and they are handling it on a case-by-case basis for now. They have recently stopped making them, so maybe they are revisiting if they should change their manufacturer/supplier or go with a different design. Hence I cannot exchange this one for a new one. I think I'd rather take the refund and go buy something else. My cheapo <$100 Ikea bedframe before this one lasted 5 years fine... Versus less than 3 months for this one... Ugh...
