When I moved from Paris to the States a few years ago, I used a company called Europe USA (I think...maybe Euro USA). Anyhow, it was relatively cheap (but I had a lot of stuff), everything arrived in one piece and it only took about 6 weeks.

You know, the funny thing about the Red Balloon is that Americans love it, but French people have never heard of it. Ok, that might be a generalization. But my French (EXTREMELY cinephile) husband had never heard of it nor had anyone in his family. Maybe they were living under a "caillou."
