Appliances really can last a lifetime if they are properly maintained and cared for. As a DIYer who has remodeled and re-colored multiple kitchens, there is nothing like white appliances to match most colors and building materials. I also agree that they are really easy to keep looking spotless! Love white appliances! Trend Watch: Is White the New Stainless Steel? |

I love your choice of color around the entire apartment. The orange and brown in the bedroom looks so calming yet vibrant and energetic. Perfect for going to sleep at night and getting up in the morning! Also I have to comment on how admirable your low-impact life style is! This is could definitely be a handy DIY project for small bedrooms, dorm rooms, or even if you are simply looking to maximize space for a workout station. Not much space is required when you are sleeping or working at a desk so there wouldn’t be much trade off. This is definitely unique and could be a real selling feature if you are renovating or building a new home. On the DIY note, it might be a bit safer and likable to have only the main side glass with a comfortable and ‘accessibility’ feature added (I don’t want to fall or come out with tile marks…). I think this look could work on any doors or drawers in the house, I just love the look (and the fact that is seems do be an easy DIY-er)! In the picture it looks like the leather used in the kitchen has a protect finish to it which would make it really durable, easy to clean, and completely kitchen friendly I think.
